The idea for ECOTECH was something I thought of when falling asleep a few days ago. I came about it when thinking of the Disney-Pixar films WALL-E. Since the movie isn't out around the world, I will not go into detail about the movie and how it exactly relates to this.
As I mentioned the ECOTECH pavilion will replace the Wonders of Life pavilion that hardly opens anymore. (and if it does, it's mainly for events) When designing my idea I kept it relatively easy. They could use the same building structure with a few minor modifications. One plan I had was for the tip-top of the roof to point downward. When it rained, the water would collect in the middle and be brought through a series of tubes into a sort of Water Works section. Inside this section you would learn how using technical know-how we can change the acid-like rain into clean water. The water could be used for watering plants, filling pools, or even flushing toilets
There will be other hands-on activities inside the pavilion that has to do with global warming, saving the earth, and ensuring a good future. One major idea I had was for the Cranium Command, a past attraction where you are watching a character named Buzzy control a human being. Instead, it could be changed around to control WALL-E or EVE. Seeing how both of them are robots and have great personalities this would be a perfect opportunity for this.
Well that seems to be it for now. If you have any ideas to add on you are welcome post a comment including them. Right now that is the basics, I might think more in-depth about this in the future and add a few minor touches. Keep an eye out for more mini artwork I've created in the past.
Oh-- I almost forgot, I made a retro style logo for this pavilion. It's a cross between the OLD Internet logo and some other EPCOT logos.
